Please don't email me with messages like this. I won't be able to help you, regardless of whether you're making a serious inquiry or merely trying to be clever. Besides, I'm not worth sueing anyway.

I'm conducting some research on HPS, as I have a pulumonary infection that is not to responding to treatment. I found a paraplegic squirrel last summer and it has become my pet. I clean his cage regularly and have come into contact with urine and droppings. Lovely! Of course, I always wash my hands after playing with "Dickie" (as my son named him!), but I do have lots of contact with him. Since squirrels are members of the rodent family, is it possible that Dickie could have infected me with HPS? We live in north Texas, Denton to be exact, and it's my understanding that the majority of HPS cases have originated in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. Texas is awfully close, and I'm awfully sick. What do you think? If you get a minute, I'd like your opinion. Thanks!
