    ---- Rule ----

This web site (www.hantavirus.net) is an online information service pertaining to the New World hantavirus, HPS, and the prevention thereof. It is not devoted to covering, in detail, hantavirii as a global problem; while hantavirii are capable of causing hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), this web site constrains itself to within the Americas, where hantavirii typically cause HPS.

This web site is provided strictly as a public service. It receives no funding, so it is wholly the result of individual volunteer effort. As such, the frequency of updates is dependent on finding spare time in my otherwise crazy life. In the long term, I hope to have this site grow and become more comprehensive, but unfortunately I can't promise anything.

Specific disclaimers about this web site are available. Please take the time to read them.

    ---- Rule ----

This site was created and continues to be maintained by Craig Agamemnon Magaret; by profession I am mostly a computer nerd and statistician. I am neither a doctor nor a public health official, and as such I claim no special qualifications for providing this information, apart from the simple knowledge of how to build a web page. As such, I cannot provide you with any advice pertaining to your own health, or how you can prevent HPS in your personal environment. If you have any sticky questions that need answering, please direct them to your local health official.

This web site was designed minimalistically, in order to emphasize the content and preserve my spare time. But more specifically, this web site was deliberately designed to accomodate Lynx, the coolest web browser in the world.

I strive to keep this site useful and pertinent, and I rely greatly on the feedback of others. As such, your comments are welcome. If you have any input (e.g. suggestions, requests, corrections, constructive criticism), don't hesitate to send me email.
